IMPZ (International Media Production Zone) is a mixed-use development located in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
It spans an area of 43 million square feet and is situated adjacent to Sports City and DubaiLand.
Established in 2003, IMPZ features both commercial and residential buildings.
However, only around 40% of the available land has been developed so far, and the development progress has been relatively slow.
Much of the area is still in the early stages of development or remains undeveloped desert land.
The lakes depicted on the master plan have recently begun to take shape after previously being shallow plastic pits.
The community lacks extensive landscaping and remains fairly barren and dusty.
IMPZ does have dedicated running tracks surrounding the lakes for recreational purposes.
One positive aspect within the community is the retail development of ‘City Centre Me’aisem’, which includes a large Carrefour supermarket, a bank, and other essential local shops.
The relatively lower prices in IMPZ reflect the current state of development and amenities within the area.
There may be future plans and developments to enhance and expand the IMPZ community.
