Dubai Production City, formerly known as the International Media Production Zone (IMPZ), is a mixed-use development spanning 43 million square feet in DubaiLand, adjacent to Sports City.
Established in 2003, this community features both commercial and residential buildings, but only around 40% of the available land has been developed so far.

Since its inception, the development of the land has progressed at a very slow pace. Much of the area is still in the early stages of development or remains desert. The lakes depicted on the master plan have only recently begun to take shape after previously being shallow plastic pits.

Despite these challenges, there are now dedicated running tracks surrounding the lakes, although the area still lacks landscaping and remains fairly barren and dusty.
The retail development of ‘City Centre Me’aisem’ serves as a positive aspect within the otherwise somewhat bleak community. It includes a large Carrefour supermarket, a bank, and other essential local shops.

The relatively lower prices in Dubai Production City reflect the current state of development and amenities within the area.
